Malakoff, TX is located approximately 65 miles southeast of Dallas on Highway 31. You'll find numerous items to
keep you busy in our small town. We are conveniently located to beautiful Cedar Creek Lake. Camping is available.
Information on these facilities is on this site. We have numerous, original antique shops offering unique items at an
affordable price. The Malakoff Historical Society & Museum is open at 207 E. Main. They are still working
on different venues, but all are welcome. The Bartlett House is under construction, and their aim is to get the gardens
of the thirties up and blooming. We are also home to the KCKL/KLVQ Big Bass Tournament that is held the 4th weekend
of March. Every April, we're going strong with the 15th Annual Cornbread Festival. This year, we have added the
Cornbread and Beans Cook-off. For those early starters, the Malakoff Rotary Club will be serving breakfast starting
at 7a.m. consisting of pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. The Annual Knife and Tomahawk will also be going
the weekend of April 14th and is held in the park behind the Community Center
